Don’t Quit The Artist’s Way
A new class by Chelsea Hodson
What is this class?
Part class, part accountability group, part group coaching—author, publisher and writing coach Chelsea Hodson is here to make sure you actually show up for all twelve chapters of the iconic Julia Cameron book instead of just the first couple weeks (we’ve all been there, right?).
Beginning September 13, we’ll meet every Sunday to discuss one chapter of The Artist’s Way and explore its ideas together. We’ll talk about creative blocks, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, procrastination, jealousy, fear, self-doubt, the inner critic, attention, play, and what it means to build an artistic practice you can actually sustain. Disagreements with The Artist’s Way are also welcome—we’re only using it as a starting point for our creative processes and discussions.
I have the most experience working with writers, but artists of all mediums and experience levels are welcome to join this group. You only need a copy of the book, a notebook, and a willingness to try something new.
What’s included?
Twelve live, hour-long Zoom meetings led by Chelsea Hodson
Weekly discussion of each chapter of The Artist’s Way
Support and accountability as you work through the book
Space to discuss creative blocks, ask questions, and reflect on what the process is bringing up
Recordings of every meeting for anyone unable to attend live
When does class meet?
September 13–November 29, 2026
Sundays, 3–4 p.m. Eastern Time (12-1 p.m. Pacific Time)
Twelve weekly meetings on Zoom
Recordings of each class will be available for anyone who needs to miss class for any reason.
